NOTE: Class is Noon to 2 pm PT
With Black Friday DNA sales coming up, it is a good time to show which tests and tools each company offers, and why you may want to choose a specific company for testing. This 2-hour presentation will compare the speaker's ethnicity results, the total number of matches from each company, the number of close matches, and the unique matches from each company. The five companies compared are 23andMe, AncestryDNA, FamilyTreeDNA, Living DNA, and MyHeritage DNA focusing on autosomal DNA.

November Lunch & Learn (Meets In-Person) (Education)
11:00 am to 2:00 pm OGS Annex, 965 Oak Alley, Eugene, OR
This monthly educational and social gathering, hosted by OGS, is open to both OGS members and the public. We begin at 11:00 am Pacific with a roundtable discussion, where attendees share their knowledge of the topic. A potluck salad and dessert potluck lunch at noon will be followed by an educational program from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Pacific. We meet in person in the OGS Annex located at 965 Oak Alley, Eugene, next to our library.
11:00 am Roundtable Discussion Topic: Share your Holiday Memories. Share your favorite holiday memories, which can serve as a basis for short stories.
12:00 pm Potluck Salad and Dessert lunch - Members donate a salad or dessert for the lunch or you may bring your own sack lunch and beverage. Coffee, hot tea, cups, plates, napkins, and utensils are provided. If you have a special diet, then feel free to bring your own lunch. (Suggested donation of $5.00 to cover the cost of supplies and meeting room rent.)
1:00 pm Program: Bob Crites, author of No Ghosts in the Graveyard: The Lifetime Adventures of a Small-Town Oregon Boy, a heartwarming, adventurous, and inspiring book. He will have books available for purchase.
